"Great HIT PFD. Whether you have foul weather gear or not, the feel of it disappear quickly. It doesn't get in your way when maneuvering or working on the boat. The only possible improvement would be the back strap that seem to roll on itself. But I only felt it when I sat against something. Not a big deal compare to the safety that I get without limiting movements."

"Primarily to be used for work as a first responder, when on lake, river and costal environments. Use harness easily with Kong tethers. Very easy to test and reassemble. May bring it along for occasional parasite boating and sailing. Did purchase the leg/crotch straps, but wish it came with native single one."
Not Ideal
"I ordered 2 re-arm kits. One of my vests inflated but the zippers broke on inflation ( presumable from age and wear)so it became unusable or repairable. To be clear, it did inflate as it should have and would have been fine in a real emergency. The broken zipper made it in a condition that to rearm and repack again was realistic. The other successfully deployed without problem and I re-armed it My complaint is that Mustang will not take back the re-arm kit despite my wanting to order a new vest ( in as much as the other one was damaged and unusable/worth rearming) Also, the web page says NOTHING about this re-arm kit not being returnable! Great Vests, Poor salesmanship. Russ Mustang guy for 20 years"

"I am an offshore solo sailor and I always wear a PFD when I am on deck, just in case. I love a good PFD that I can wear without even noticing it is there and this one is perfect for me! It is really well constructed and makes me feel safe, while not being too bulky and in my way. I highly recommend this Mustang Survival PFD. You won't regret getting it!"

"I purchased this PFD for kayaking in the bigger lakes in north Idaho. It was easy to size and it fits me very well. I’m 5’10’ and about 156 lb in cycling form. I’ll post more once I’m in my kayak; can’t wait."

"Waistband adjustment strap easy to use and fit is good. High quality materials used in manufacture of this device as compared to those in similar models produced by others. Hopefully will not have experience with the sailor-overboard flotation performance of my Mustang HIT PFD, but am content for now to rely on reputation of Mustang and recognizable quality of my device."
Great Purchase Experience and Excellent Product
"I ordered a HIT Hydrostatic Inflatable PFD and have now used it multiple times while sailing. While this PFD initially seems like it would wear a little large, it disappears when you put it on. Never once while sailing, did I feel Ike it was in the way or ungainly. It just disappears! The construction and quality is excellent and the materials feel and appear of high quality. While this is probably not the lightest inflatable PFD, the weight was not noticeable. I am genuinely happy with my new PFD and will be buying other products from Mustang Survival in the near future."
