"Heading into my 3rd season with my helix dry suit and it’s still going strong! My favourite feature after it being dry of course, is probably the suspenders, they keep my suit from dragging when I’m not wearing it fully and I’d assume that reduces the wear and tear that happens when tying a suit around your waist. The spiral zipper serves both as the entrance and the drop seat making life on the river easier (no disrobing to pee!) and leaving me with only one zipper to maintain. It’s easy to clean, don’t hold on to my sweaty smells and super durable so far. My only complaint about the suit is not a complaint for me but a warning for others. If you have a large head this is not the suit for you, the fabric neck hole doesn’t have much give. That being said this suit kept me paddling all winter. In Canada. If you like to paddle whenever the water is running a dry suit is a must and if you don’t need to accommodate a kayak skirt (and you don’t have a big head) the helix from mustang is an awesome choice! There is one thing that my friends drysuits have that my helix doesn’t… leaks. And I'm not complaining about that 😄"
"hello...I am 5' 4 and could not get into suit without aggressive assitance. I ordered a small and returned it. I decided to go into a store that sells them instead of online ordering."
"I purchased this in the spring for some cool weather paddling and river SUP and just ended up being able to test it out yesterday, months later. Oops! It's probably the most comfortable drysuit I've worn when standing but I find it hard to move from kneeling on my board to standing in a smooth motion. It feels super restrictive in the knees and butt if you have any type of curve. I'm on the curvier side and have muscular thighs. I have to essentially pop up into a surf stance and bring my back foot to meet my front foot every time. But, once standing it's incredibly comfortable and felt really awesome paddling. I have a 58.5cm head circumference and have no issue getting my head through the opening. I do find it a little awkward to get my upper body in through the top of the suit all together but am starting to figure out that dance. I find the sizing great through upper body, but small through lower body but like I said, I'm curvy and muscular at the same time. I don't know how awesome it'll be actually running rivers with this drysuit because of the mobility concerns but it'll be great for flatwater in the fall and winter."
"Seems good so far - will test durability. Latex gaskets work quite well but are delicate. Quite happy with the purchase!"
